CHALLENGE

The brief required the development of an original record label. I created alwan (“colors” in Arabic)—a multimedia collective and YouTube channel highlighting overlooked jazz sub-genres, from Japanese Funk and Ethio-jazz to Persian soul. The project reframes passive music consumption into a fully immersive experience through meditative “listening sessions.”

APPROACH
I defined alwan’s ethos through restraint and atmosphere. The visual system was built around an earthy, yet bold color palette and Arabic-inspired typography. I wanted every element within the “alwan world” to evoke feeling, warmth, and harmony. 
OUTPUTS

A comprehensive brand system including a custom logo and comprehensive style guide.
