CHALLENGE

The brief required the creation of a fully developed online newsroom centered around an original concept. I created Obscura Cinema, a foreign film collective dedicated to reclaiming moviegoing as a visceral, communal experience that transcends language.

APPROACH

In introducing the cinema, to spark dialogue around the fading film viewing experience while imagining an alternative future for the film industry. I sought to position foreign film as inclusive and accessible for all. Across each deliverable, I explored themes of cinematic intentionality, subtitles as immersion, and the collective power of audiences in shaping the emotional experience of theater-going.
